The Kind Stranger
Chapter: 8

"I can sense it" Kaguya said. "Asura has a physical body now." She, Kid, and the Thompson sisters were in the library, Liz starting up one the computers. "Some kind of link between you and Asura" Kid asked, curious about the clown's sense? Kaguya gave a nod. "Being born from the Kishin's madness, clowns are able to sense his state" she specified. "That same madness also grants clowns the ability to regenerate. We can be completely wiped out into nothingness, and still come back from it, just as long as we have connection to the Kishin's madness." Saying such a thing drew Kid and the sisters' attention straight at Kaguya. "Now that's a very useful detail" The reaper boy said, holding his chin. "Well it's truly fortunate to have you on our side then." Kaguya blushed upon those words. "Anyway..." Liz interrupted, entering the Creepypasta website. "I'm ready when you are, Kaguya." Kaguya nodded and  sat next to Liz, baring an embarrassed look. "I'm sorry" she whispered to Liz. Liz seemed to have trailed off in thought for only a moment. "No, it's alright" she said. To say that the time she and Kaguya spent at the mall didn't form some kind of relationship would be untrue. Liz did want to help her. Course she knew she couldn't say she knew how Kaguya felt. The poor clown felt alone and worthless, and the closest Liz ever was to that was before meeting Kid, but even then, she had Patty with her. And by accident or not, Kid not only stole her heart, but he also made Kaguya feel wanted, like she genuinely belonged. But Liz too loved Kid. Both she and Kaguya would have to reach some kind of understanding sooner or later. Setting her thoughts aside for now, Liz and Kaguya began to look through the enormous list of Creepypastas.

Maka kicked herself for not thinking of it before. If she tried to use soul perception, she just might be able to find Crona. She stood at the top of the steps to the school, Kami and Rachel with her. "Go ahead Maka, concentrate" Kami said. Maka cleared her mind as she closed her eyes, took a deep calm breath and opened her eyes again. It took a while of sorting through the countless souls, but then she found it. Crona was in the forest, alone, scared, and in pain. "I found him" Maka said as she started down the steps, her mother following her. "I'm coming with you" Rachel called. "I appreciate it, but..." Maka was cut off when she got a look at Rachel's soul. There was something very familiar about it, like she'd seen it before, but not at all like this. It looked like a skull with sad eye sockets, strange tendrils coming out of it. It glowed the dullest shade of purple Maka had ever seen. It felt broken, hollow, dead inside. The sight of it couldn't help but shock the young meister. What kind of Hell could such a nice woman have been dragged through?Though Maka thought that just her and Kami could be enough, she felt as though she should let Rachel come along. "Ya, ok" Maka said. "Let's go."
I apologize for making this rather short. Enjoy.
